MINE DEVELOPMENT PLANNER

Job Summary

The Mine Development Planner will be responsible for developing, coordinating and monitoring short, medium, and long-term mine development plans to support safe, efficient and economically viable mining operations. The role will work closely with Mining, Geology, Survey, Processing, Engineering, HSE and other operational teams.

Core Duties

  • Develop and maintain short-, medium- and long-term mine development plans.
  • Prepare mine production and development schedules in line with the approved Life-of-Mine plan.
  • Coordinate mine design, development sequences, production targets, and operational priorities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual mine plans and schedules.
  • Develop production forecasts for ore, waste, stripping ratios, and mine development activities.
  • Work with the Geology and Survey teams to incorporate geological, resource, and survey data into mine plans.

  • Maintain accurate planning records and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Mine Planning, Mineral Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional qualification or membership of a recognised mining engineering institution will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience in mine planning or mine development, preferably in a large-scale mining environment.
  • Experience in open-pit mining and mine production planning will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Surpac, MineSched, Datamine or similar platforms is a plus.

Mining Engineer

Job Summary

The Mining Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising mining activities to ensure safe, efficient and economically viable extraction of mineral resources. Core Duties

Job Summary

The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and improving the Company’s health, safety and environmental systems across its hard-rock and alluvial mining operations. The role will ensure compliance with applicable Ghanaian mining, occupational health, environmental and safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture across mine sites, processing areas, workshops, camps and other operational facilities.

Core Duties

  • Implement and monitor the Company’s HSE policies, procedures, standards and programmes.
  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments across hard-rock and alluvial mining operations.
  • Monitor compliance with approved mine plans, environmental management plans and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience, preferably within a mining or other heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience in large-scale mining, particularly open-pit, hard-rock and/or alluvial operations, will be an advantage.

SITE RESIDENT ENGINEER

Job Summary

The Site Resident Engineer will provide on-site technical oversight and engineering supervision for mine development, civil works, infrastructure and related construction activities. The role will ensure that works are executed safely, efficiently, to approved designs and specifications, within agreed schedules and in compliance with applicable Ghanaian mining, engineering and environmental requirements.

Core Duties

  • Provide day-to-day engineering supervision of mine development and infrastructure works.

SMPP/QC/QA ENGINEER

Job Summary

The SMPP/QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for the engineering quality assurance and quality control of Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Piping-related works (SMPP) associated with Hujak’s mining development and processing infrastructure. The role will ensure that fabrication, installation, construction, testing and commissioning activities comply with approved engineering drawings, specifications, standards and project requirements.

Core Duties

  • Develop, implement and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans and procedures.
  • Supervise and inspect structural, mechanical and piping works during fabrication, installation and construction.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, material certificates, inspection procedures and method statements.
  • Ensure all SMPP works conform to approved drawings, specifications, standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of structural steelwork, tanks, chutes, conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, pipelines, mills and other mechanical/process equipment.

Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, reliability and optimisation of mechanical equipment and systems used in Hujak’s mining and processing operations. The role will ensure that mining equipment, processing machinery and mechanical infrastructure operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

Core Duties

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities across the mine site.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes for mining and processing equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of excavators, loaders, haul trucks, dozers, graders, crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps and other mining equipment.

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, operation, maintenance and optimisation of electrical systems and equipment across Hujak’s mining and processing operations. The role will ensure reliable power supply, equipment availability, electrical safety, and compliance with applicable engineering and mining standards.

Core Duties

COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER

Job Summary

The Community Liaison Officer will serve as the primary link between Hujak Mining and communities within and around the Company’s mining area. The Officer will facilitate effective communication, stakeholder engagement, community relations and grievance management, while supporting the Company's social and community development commitments.

The successful candidate must be from, or have strong established ties to, one of the communities surrounding the Hujak mining operations, including Ahwenease, Potroase, Obuasi, Akwadum, Afiasa, Adadientem or Apapam.

Core Duties

  • Serve as the principal liaison between Hujak and host and surrounding communities.
  • Maintain regular communication with traditional authorities, community leaders, youth groups, women’s groups, opinion leaders and other local stakeholders.
  • Provide communities with accurate and timely information about the Company’s mining activities, development plans and community programmes.
  • Monitor community concerns, expectations and emerging issues and report them to management.
  • Receive, document and facilitate the resolution of community grievances and complaints.

Job Summary

The Geologist will be responsible for geological investigation, exploration, mapping, sampling, resource evaluation and grade control to support the safe and economically efficient development of Hujak Mining Company’s mineral resources. Core Duties

  • Conduct geological mapping, prospecting and field investigations within the mining lease.

Job Summary

The Loco/Shaft Construction Engineer will be responsible for planning, supervising and coordinating the construction, installation, maintenance and safe operation of locomotive haulage systems, shafts and associated underground or mine-access infrastructure. Core Duties

Job Summary
